Belgrade International Games is a student organization founded in 2005 with the idea of gathering students from the entire world once a year and giving them the opportunity to compete in different scientific and sports activities. BIG is a tournament between universities which takes place every October in Belgrade, Serbia, since 2006. Footsal, handball, basketball, rugby, water-polo, volleyball, squash and cheer-leading competition and two knowledge-based competitions debate and case study are organized. BIG has consolidated during the years as a reference for university sport in Serbia, counting with an average participation of 800 students from Europe, Asia and Africa. With help of 120 volunteers BIG in a unique way promotes Serbia, its culture, academic life, students and universities, as well as a recreational sport and healthy living.
