NACOR was established in 2007, by a group of highly experienced people from different fields of expertise who were employed in domestic and international organizations across Serbia. Given the many years of experience the country, members recognized a lack of understanding of developmental initiatives by the citizens and the lack of capacity of organizations that can provide vital information and knowledge. In order to design and implement development strategies that will actually run, the members have formally registered in year 2012 and became the official association. Before formal registration, NACOR’s members have designed and implemented over 200 projects of different scopes which have affected diverse target groups. The projects that had the biggest impact were created in the field of standardization and software development. NACOR’s experts provided consulting to more than 200 entities. Main goals of those consulting activities were: efficiency improvement trough quality focus, continual activities on environment protection, achieving higher level of competiveness in food production and food products’ management and other. ALso, NACOR’s experts were engaged in projects for strengthening capacities of LSGs through implementation of software that help citizens to take initiatives, as well as software for internal LSG’s use that supports transparency of LSGs. NACOR initiatives were supported by various donors from European Union and Republic of Serbia’s government.
