The Provincial Ombudsman (PO) was founded in 2002 by the Decree of the Parliament of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (APV). Its aim is human rights protection of citizens of Vojvodina before provincial and local (town and municipal) administration, public services and other instances acting in public interest. Its operation is based on five sectors: national minority and children’s rights, gender equality, general human rights and project, research and promo department.
